The 16×8 with −12 offset will sit noticeably outside the fender line on a stock 1998 Trooper, creating an aggressive, tucked appearance typical of negative-offset sport fitment. A "meaty" tire (likely 285/75R16 or similar) complements this width and adds visual fill; confirm your specific trim's fender clearance and consider minor fender rolling if rubbing occurs at full articulation or turn lock. The 6×139.7 bolt pattern is correct for this platform, ensuring proper hub fit.
